COVID-19: Update (04/06/2020)

Dear Patients,

You may have recently seen in the news (BBC News) that dental practices will be allowed to reopen on Monday 8th of June.

In line with provided guidelines, the practice will be reopening on a phased basis, with Phase 1 commencing on Monday 8th of June.

As a part of Phase 1 we will not be able to perform routine treatments, as this phase is solely allowing us to see our patients that are in a need of an EMERGENCY face-to-face appointments(pain and/or discomfort only that can only be addressed in the surgery without creating an aerosol (e.g. without using a dental drill creates an aerosol), as Aerosol Generating Procedures are currently prohibited.

More complex emergency treatment that does involve creating an aerosol (e.g. using a dental drill) will still have to be referred to the Emergency Dental Centres.

Patients will not be permitted on the practice’s premises without prior appointment. All patients will be expected to arrive wearing a mask or face covering. At this stage we still so not accept bookings as we are working hard to ensure everyone’s safety while at the premises. Further announcements will be made as soon as we will be ready.

You must not attend if you or anyone in your household is showing any COVID-19 symptoms.

Parents, Guardians and chaperones will be asked to stay outside for the duration of the patient’s appointment. Please make sure this is in a safe place and conforms to the latest social distancing advice.

Please do not bring unnecessary items such as bags or coats and be aware of 2 meters social distancing measures throughout the practice.

We will wait for clarification from our regulatory bodies as to when Phase 2 can commence and will of course keep you updated.

We would like to thank you all for your understanding and patience during this very challenging time and look forward to seeing you all again soon!

The Management Team
